Frei-Day Nights Under the Lights: Freiburg vs Monchengladbach Preview

Welcome everyone, I hope your all having a great day, and you’re looking forward to another weekend of football, starting tonight with Freiburg vs Monchengladbach

A quick overview, in this blog we’ll be going over the game, current form of the teams, and who to look out for in terms of some key players for each team

As always, if you do decide you like the look of any of the players mentioned please do your own research before purchasing

Let’s get straight into it,

Coming into the game Freiburg currently sit 8th in the table, with a total of 38pts

They sit just 4 points behind Wolfsburg who are in the Europa League Qualification Spot, with Wolfsburg away coming up after this game

They do sit with a -3 goal difference though, that does show they have an issue in not conceding and at the other end scoring

Current Form since restart –

1-1 Away to Leipzig

0-1 Home to Werder Bremen

3-3 Away draw to Frankfurt

0-1 Home loss to leverkusen

Monchengladbach on the other hand have a goal difference of +22, after watching them last weekend you can understand why they are in a positive, with their attack looking great with regards to Plea & Thuram together.

They currently sit 4th in the table on 56 pts, 2 points behind RB Leipzig in 3rd and joint on points with Leverkusen in 5th in the battle for a Champions League spot with Bayern being their next game to come

Current Form since restart

1-3 Away win at Frankfurt

1-3 Home loss to leverkusen

0-0 Away draw to Bremen

4-1 Home win to union

The last time these two played each other in the league in the reverse fixture the game ended 4-2 in favour of Monchengladbach,

In head to head term both teams have won 7 games and have drawn 5 times!

Both teams seem to have an issue in defence with conceding goals, both teams having conceded in their last 5 fixtures other than 1 0-0 draw for Monchengladbach against Werder Bremen

That all being said I would say that if anyone is looking for a bet on the game potentially you would want to be looking at

• BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals

• BTTS

I’ll have an acca on for the weekend for a couple quid and will be looking at putting in

• Monchengladbach & BTTS

* Disclaimer – I am in no way a tipster, I am just giving my opinion based on the data and stats I have looked at *

Let’s start with the home team, and look at the Freiburg players to watch

Nils Petersen:

Price at Time of Preview: 40p

Position: FWD

SofaScore: 6.96

Games played: 29 (Started 23)

Goals: 9

Assists: 2

PB Since Restart: 11 (68mins vs Leipzig) | 15 (90mins vs Bremen) | 54 (31mins vs Frankfurt ⚽️) | 33 (90mins vs Leverkusen)

Average PB: 55

Divs this Season:

Pros:

• Hit a Peak 205 vs Mainz in January included GWG

• Recently off the Bench to Score

Cons:

• Playing in a side in a bad run of form

• Tough run of fixtures coming up

• Not Around the National Team

Thoughts on Buying:

With his PB scores being fairly low since the restart I am not sure he would be able to produce anything spectacular over the coming weeks with some tough games including Wolfsburg (A), Hertha (H), & Bayern (A)

He has scored 1 goal since the restart, which if buying now would have given you 1p IPD, & I do believe he could be in with a good shout of another goal in this game with the current form of both team in regards to conceding goals

Vincenzo Grifo:

Price at Time of Preview: 74p

Position: MID

SofaScore: 6.95

Games played: 22 (Started 12)

Goals: 3

Assists: 5

PB Since Restart: 110 (68mins 🅰️) | 99 (90mins) | 155 (82mins ⚽️🅰️) | 62 (75mins)

Average PB: 79.28

Divs this Season: 5p

Pros:

• 27 Years old

• Chance of Euros with Italy

• Recorded Good PB’s since restart

Cons:

• Needs to add more goals to his game

• Assists relatively low at 5

Thoughts on Buying:

Since the restart Grifo has been a stand out performer in an underperforming Freiburg team,

With 2 assists and a goal in the past 4 games, if he can continue his run of form and get a couple more before the end of the season he could be great for IPD & for PB

This could also bring around some more opportunities with Italy, though he has only made 3 appearances since debut in 2018

Cristian Gunter:

Price at Time of Preview: 54p

Position: MID

SofaScore: 6.99

Games played: 29 (Started All)

Goals: 2

Assists: 6

PB Since Restart: 63 (90mins) | 117 (90mins) | 81 (90mins 🅰️) | 85 (90mins)

Average PB: 99

Divs this Season: 0p

Pros:

• Created 9 Big Chances this season

• Played all games for Freiburg

• 27 Years Old

Cons:

• No Link with International Football

• Doesn’t get many goals

Thoughts on Buying:

At 27 years old he is reaching the peak years of his career,

He has created 9 big chances this season for Freiburg, scored 2 and assisted 6,

His PB scores since the restart have been very good considering he has only 1 assist in those 4 games, if he could increase his output of goal contributions through goals and assists he could be a good hold going forward

Alexander Schwolow:

Price at Time of Preview: 23p

Position: GK

SofaScore: 7.09

Games played: 20 (Started All)

Goals Conceeded per Game: 1.3

Saves per Game: 3.6 (73%)

PB Since Restart: 141 | 67 | 171 | -6

Average PB: 75

Divs this Season: £0.00

I just wanted to mention Schwolow, I’ve watched Freiburg a couple of times and he has been fairly decent, though they have conceded goals, he seems to get his fair share of saves, and touches of the ball, I’ve bout 50 shares just for an IPD bit of fun, and if he manages a PB win it’s a good return on 23-25p

So that’s the players from Freiburg I would personally be looking at if I was to invest into any one on particular

As I say I have around 50 shares of Schwolow, and this is mainly for a bit of fun over the coming weeks and a chance at some returns for little risk on price.

Now let’s get into Monchengladbach and see who the key players could be and who I believe should be the players to look at pre game for IPD & the chance of PB

Marcus Thuram:

Price at Time of Preview: £2.23p

Position: FWD

SofaScore: 7.16

Games played: 29 (Started 26)

Goals: 10

Assists: 8

PB Since Restart: 130 (66mins ⚽️ vs Frankfurt) | 54 (78mins ⚽️ vs Leverkusen) | 60 (82mins vs Werder Bremen) | 225 (90mins vs Union Berlin)

Average PB: 79

Divs this Season: 2p

Pros:

• Potential Champions League next season

• Chance at Euro 21 or WC 22 call up

• Producing both Goals & Assists

Cons:

• Doesn’t seem to produce the top scores on a gold day

• Scoring frequency is 212 mins

Thoughts on Buying:

With a tight run of games coming over the next few weeks before the end of the season he could be a great hold in terms of IPD and could return a few pence per share in that time if he continues with his scoring and assist record,

With this being a bronze match day there could be a good chance of a Top FWD score and a further 2p in Divs

Alessane Plea:

Price at Time of Preview: £1.54p

Position: FWD

SofaScore: 7.32

Games played: 26 (Started 24)

Goals: 10

Assists: 10

PB Since Restart: 106 (89mins ⚽️) | 27 (90mins 🅰️) | 66 (90mins) | 166 (90mins ⚽️🅰️🅰️)

Average PB: 82

Divs this Season: 8p

Pros:

• A good PB average so far

• Producing Both Goals & Assists

• Champions League Next Season Maybe

Cons:

• 27 Years old & Not around the France Sqaud

• Fighting with Thuram for PB

Thoughts on Buying:

If you want a cheaper alternative to Thuram, I would 100% be looking at Plea, with a higher PB average and with 10 goals and 10 assists this season he has shown he can produce both!

Although he is competing directly against Thuram for PB it seems as though they work well together and are always looking to help the other get a goal or 2,

Another good shout for IPD over the next month, and chances of PB through European football next season too

Ramy Bensebaini:

Price at Time of Preview: 94p

Position: DEF

SofaScore: 7.15

Games played: 15 (Started 12)

Goals: 5

Assists: 2

PB Since Restart: 149 (78mins ⚽️🅰️) | 109 (90mins) | 29 (19mins) | 131 (89mins 🅰️)

Average PB: 68

Divs this Season: 0p

Pros:

• Takes his fair share of Penalties & Free Kicks

• LB who likes to get forward and get an assist or 2

• Been consistent in PB since the return of football

Cons:

• Hasn’t yet hit won Top DEF this season

• Passing Accuracy Below 80%

• Stindl on Penalties when on the Field

Thoughts on Buying:

I personally hold 25 of Ramy, I unfortunately bought prior to the Bundesliga starting and well I’m advance that I don’t get IPD,

Someone I have looked at again and again to re invest in for the IPD factor, looks the kind of player to get forward and likes to be around the box for a cross / assist

Have seen him take a couple of near free kicks since the restart and has looked dangerous, as well as scoring from the spot, even with Thuram & Plea on the pitch

Florian Neuhaus:

Price at Time of Preview: £1.33p

Position: MID

SofaScore: 6.98

Games played: 25 (Started 21)

Goals: 4

Assists: 2

PB Since Restart: 109 (89mins) | 95 (90mins) | 147 (90mins) | 144 (89mins ⚽️)

Average PB: 78

Divs this Season: 0p

Pros:

• Consistent PB since the restart

• Young German International, chance at Euro 21 or WC 22

Cons:

• Having started 21 games this season he has only 6 goals involvements

• Missed 5 big chances this season

Thoughts on Buying:

The German international is only 23 years old, with the market being a 3 year hold he could be a great one, with plenty of time ahead of him,

If he can cement a place into this Monchengladbach team, and force his way into the German squad for the Euros & World Cup hell have a shot at plenty of PB

Had produced a couple of solid scores since the restart having only scored in one of them, at £1.33p he seems a bargain compared to others in the league

Personally I hold Schwolow (50 Shares) & Bensebaini (25 Shares), but I may potentially look to buy a handful of Neuhaus & Plea prior to the 3pm cut off for the chance at IPD and PB

Hopefully it’s a great game, and the start of a great game week on the Bundesliga,

Game of the Day: M’gladbach vs Union Berlin

Monchengladbach sit 5 in the table currently 11 points clear of Wolfsburg for the automatic Europa League place, & only 2 points behind Leipzig for the Champions League spots

Union 4 points off the relegation places, are technically still not out of trouble and could find them selfs in the relegation play off should results not go their way in the final weeks of the season

Since the restart M’gladbach have Won 1, Lost 1 and Drawn 1, with Union settling for 2 Losses & a Draw

So who are the key players we should be looking out for

Rami Bensebaini

The 25 year old Algerian Full back for M’gladbach has featured in all 3 games since the restart, 2 games as a starter and 1 off the bench, getting himself 1 goal and 1 assist in those games

Bensebaini seems to be the go to penalty taker when Stindl isn’t on the pitch so helps from full back with goals in that respect

In his 2 starts so far he has posted scores of 149 & 109, and will be hoping to do as well on a bronze day

Pre March Price – £1.01p (Sun 9am)

Florian Neuhaus

The exciting 23 year old German has had a lot of people talking about him being one of the next big things out of Germany!

Having played 20 games this season he’s scored 3 and has 2 assists to his name

His PB scores since the restart have 109, 95, 147 so far

Pre March Price – £1.28p (Sun 9am)

Marcus Thuram

22 years old, French, and the son of a World Cup Winner, he has all the markings of a quality player and a big future ahead of him no doubt

Having played 28 games this season in the league he’s contributed with 8 goals and 8 assists forming a great partnership with Plea up front, with 2 goals since the restart

Pre March Price – £2.23p (Sun 9am)

Sebastian Andersson

The Sweden international has scored 11 goals this campaign in the league, and assisted 1,

Unfortunately since the restart he, like his team has not been firing as he’d have liked too,

Room for improvement, but could play a key part in helping union pick something up at M’gladbach

Pre March Price – £0.66p (Sun 9am)

Christopher Trimmel

At 33 he’s still flying up and down the right side trying to create something from full back for Union,

Having played 26 games this season he has 7 assists to his name

His PB over the past 3 games have been 110, 87 & 134,

In the previous game with Mainz he produced 12 crosses, 3 of which were accurate, 2 clearances, 1 interception, & 1 Last man tackle

Pre March Price – £0.45p (Thurs 9am)

Of course with both teams there will be plenty of players to watch out for over the season, for me personally I hold

• Bensebaini – 25 Shares

Let’s get into the game and the key talking points:

A great goal from Florian Neuhaus, after having an earlier effort from almost the half way line, this time he picked a ball around the area, brushes past the defender and slots home past the keeper off the post, He looks a great talent this lad

A 2nd goal for Gladbach, created by Plea who sends a ball into the box and it’s finished by Thuram, those two linking up once again, and it ends in a familiar way

4 minutes into the 2nd half, Fisher goes down under a Ginter challenge, Trimmel takes the free kick into the box, nodded back across goal & Andersson makes it 2-1

10 minutes pass, and Plea picks up the ball on the outside of the box wide right, and plays a ball across the box to Thuram who fire home for 3-1, these two looks quality together,

9 minutes till the end and Plea finally gets his goal with a lovely finish on the volley, middle of the box, ball in by Bensebaini was spot on, and Plea finishes

Players of the game:

Alassane Plea

The first of the player to mention is Plea, of course taking nothing away from Thuram, the pair of them are a great strike force and seem to just work so well together

Plea scored a 166 PB which included 2 assists & 1 goal,

He also managed 51 touches, 88% accuracy from 31 passes, & 2 key passes

Florian Neuhaus

He looked so comfortable in midfield, almost taking a great chance from the half way line almost in the first half, before finally getting him self a goal

Scoring 144 Pb including a goal, he also managed 2 shots on target, 70 touches, 49 passes & 2/3 successful dribbles

Rami Bensebaini

Another player who had a great game, got him self an assist, and looked to want to attack whenever possible,

1 thing I noticed with him is he seems to get in and around the box a bit when the team were attacking, he took a free kick that was marginally over the bar, and also took some corners which always helps in regards to the matrix

That’s all for today’s review, I have decided going forward I’ll be Previewing Games and players as opposed to reviewing them, the reviewing side is good, but if I pick a couple players out and then post them up a day after the game it’s not as credible as posting prior to the game and letting traders know who to look out for before doing their own research

In the meantime stay safe, stay home, stay positive, and have a great day

Week 10: The Lockdown Lifestyle – Were Back!!!

Week 10: The Lockdown Lifestyle – Were Back!!!

Welcome back everyone! lets start by saying what an incredible week it’s been! The weather has been unreal, it’s like be on holiday in a foreign country at this point

1 positive thing to come out of COVID personally is how I’ve had the chance to spend time with my 9 month old daughter and enjoy this beautiful weather together

Now, that’s enough weather chat, let’s get down to business with the Sunday weigh in, firstly let’s see where we were at last weekend

Of course after a week where I began to feel complacent, I stepped on the scale last Sunday and recorded a 1.2lb weight loss

Average Weight: 227.3lb

Total Gain / Loss for Week: – 1.2lb

Over Gain / Loss: – 18.4lb

We hit 18.4lb weight loss to date, so, we had a blip in mindset, but we came back Monday and we went again,

Today I stepped on the scale weighing in at 223.6lb which gives me an average for the week of 224.5lb

That’s a Loss of 2.8lb, and I couldn’t be happier, we hit and passed the 20lb lost mark, which is great

As we spoke about last week, it looks as though I will have another few weeks of being furloughed and no work, so plenty of time to put in more effort and really shed some more weight!

The week started extremely strong, I have been doing roughly 30 mins on the treadmill, 2 mornings on, 1 morning off, consisting of 3 minutes warm up, then 7 minutes running at around 8/9kmph, then 3 mins at 6kmph repeating this 3 cycles

The usual daily walks of around 5.5 – 6 miles have continued and will be a stable throughout this whole process

What’s changing going forward

This week I’ll be continuing with my calories at 1800kcal per day in regards to diet, I still only track calories and don’t go too in depth, in a couple of weeks time when the gyms potentially re open and I can go back I’ll be looking to look more at macros and more in depth at nutrition

I’ll be keeping up with 30 minute runs, and looking to increase the time to 35 mins on some of them, slow and steady in building this up

With regards to resistance bands, I’ve purchased another set of these, this time ones that have an anchor to hook to the door in order to do more exercises, so I’ll be looking to incorporate 3-5 resistance band routines this week

If you want to pick up a set of band then I got mine from Amazon, and they have everything you need in order to start working out with them

https://amzn.to/2zwi7cS

Not at all bad for £22 as I had previously found them at around £30 with P&P on top, loads of different settings with the weight / resistance of the bands, and plenty of exercises that can be done with them

Amazon Resistance Bands

I’ll be looking to do some blogs detailing what routines I have done with these for anyone looking to follow

We’re stepping things up this week, in regards to workouts and really trying to mimic the gym and what can be done there

Overall it’s been a great week, long may it continue, And let’s all go out and smash this coming week.

That’s all for today, I hope your all well! Stay safe, stay home where possible, stay positive ♥️

Game of the Day: Mainz vs Hoffenheim

2 very contrasting teams coming into this game, 1 sits 1 point off the Relegation playoff, the other just 3 points off the Europa League qualification

Since the restart Mainz drew to FC Koln in a 2-2 game after being 2-0 up late in the game, before taking a 5-0 battering at the hands of Leipzig, followed by another draw with Union Berlin, this time 1-1

Hoffenheim have started back firstly with a 3-0 loss to Hertha, following this up with a 1-1 draw with Paderborn, before finally getting a week in match 3 against FC Koln 3-1.

Both teams will be desperate for a win to keep their dreams of Europe or Survival alive

Let’s take a look and see who are the key players we should be looking out for

Cristoph Baumgartner – IPO Watch

Having scored 2 & assisted 1 in the previous game against Koln, the 20 year old Austrian is yet to be IPOd onto the platform, but will be worth keeping an eye on if he continues his form from the previous match

Pre March Price – £N/A (Thurs 9am)

Post Match Price – £N/A

Robert Skov

The versatile Midfielder, having played in a number of positions this season looks one to watch,

At just 24 years old, from Denmark, he’s featured in 25 games this season scoring 4 & assisting 5

With 1 goal and 1 assist since the restart

Pre March Price – £2.01 (Thurs 9am)

Post Match Price – £2.00

Florian Grillitsch

The 24 year old Austrian has played in all 3 of the games since the restart, the latest of which only playing 45 mins, but posting scores of 121, 160 & 51

Pre March Price – £0.79p (Thurs 9am)

Post Match Price – £0.79p

Ridle Baku

The 22 year old German international has played 25 games this season and has 1 goal and 1 assist in that time,

Both his goal and assist have come since the restart of the Bundesliga, posting scores in that time of 139, 24 (5-0 loss to Leipzig), & 154 his latest score!

Pre March Price – £0.63p (Thurs 9am)

Post Match Price – £0.68p

Robin Quaison

An exciting 26 year old, from Sweden, seems to be involved in the majority of things that are good within the Mainz team,

Scoring 12 & assisting 2 this season in 27 games, he hasn’t provided either since the restart but it’s only a matter of time before this happens,

He does have rather poor score in regards to the PB matrix, but an exciting player none the less

Pre March Price – £1.15p (Thurs 9am)

Post Match Price – £1.14p

Pierre Kunde

With 23 appearances under his belt this season, and featuring in all 3 games since the restart, Kunde has posted scores of 140, -2 (Leipzig loss), & 109 with 1 goal in those 3 games, and a great solo run and goal it was!

Pre March Price – £0.40p (Thurs 9am)

Post Match Price – £0.41p

Who do I own for this game??

Baku – 100 Shares

This game is part of a silver day for PB payouts, with places worth 4p per share for Top DEF, MID, FWD & a further 4p for Star Man

Let’s get into the game and the key talking points:

PENALTY!! 27th min of the game and it’s a peno, Zuber steps up and goes low to the keepers right, but, Muller in goal is equal to it.

2 minutes from the HT whistle and Babou the substitute for Hoffenheim makes it 1-0 with a cool finish past the keeper and into the bottom corner,

Moments before Skov on a break had a fantastic chance but put it wide of the goal

The game ends 1-0 to Hoffenheim after a lot of pressure in the second half from Mainz without any success

My Players to watch….

Every match we pick out a player from each side we believe could be worth watching, researching and investing in

Personally from this game there are 2 players I would be watching out for and looking at over the next month and run of games

Ridle Baku – £0.68

The German international, currently playing as a Right Back, with the pace and flair to take a player on and drive at the opposition, always looking to get a cross into the box.

Currently down on the index as a midfielder, if he gets a position change to defender I feel this could benefit him with the scores he’s has been producing lately,

His performance included 2 interceptions, 1 clearance, 4/12 ground duels won, 2/2 aerial duels won, and going forward he produced 8 crosses, 2 of which where accurate, 2 key passes & 1 big chance created

Hopefully he will stay in a PB league either with Mainz or via a move away should they get relegated

Robert Skov – £2.02p

The versatile defender, seems to be playing a bit further forward than down on the index giving him the chance to create and score goals with him scoring 4 & assisting 5 this season

He managed 1 shot on target, 2 shots off, 3 key passes, 2/3 accurate crosses, he did also hit the woodwork and missed a big chance

But one to watch going forward being in a Pb and with the Euros coming next year, he produced 3 goals & 2 assists in 3 qualifying games for Denmark

Of course with all player picks be sure to do your own research, if you have any other suggestions drop them in the comments below

In the meantime stay safe, stay home, stay positive, and have a great day

Game of the Day: Freiburg vs Leverkusen Review

Freiburg currently sit in 8th in the table with 38 points, although it’s a long shot they do still have an outside chance of claiming the Europa League Qualification spot, being just 4 points behind Wolfsburg on 42

Since the restart they have had 2 draws & a loss from the 3 games, conceding 5 and scoring 4

Leverkusen on the other hand sit 5 in the table level on points with Gladbach, and we’re on an 8 game unbeaten streak until Wolfsburg took them apart last game week.

Having scores 8 goals since the restart, and conceding 6 in that time

Both teams have something to play for, and both will be wanting to not drop points in the hunt for European football.

So who are the key players we should be looking out for

Kai Havertz

The 20 year old, German international, sensation, has hit the ground running since the restart, scoring 4 goals in 3 games so far,

Though he only posted a score of 19 against Wolfsburg, we have to assume that was just a blip for Leverkusen, who will be looking to right some wrongs from that game

Previous to this he posted 225 & 225, and has gone on to win MB as well

Pre March Price – £6.76 (Thurs 9am)

Post Match Price – £6.68 (-8p)

Moussa Diaby

The exciting French winger has who began the restart well, registering 2 assists in the 1st game back.

Having scored 4 goals and 5 assists this season in 22 games, 14 of which he has started, he has seemingly taken Leon Baileys starting spot, and attracted some interest from Europe’s elite

His PB score though are lacking, but an exciting player to watch posting scores of 125, 73, 33 so far

Pre March Price – £2.39p (Thurs 9am)

Post Match Price – £2.35p (-4p)

Kerem Demirbay

Having played 20 games this season, Demirbay has 5 assists & 1 goal!

Since the restart he’s posted scores of 240, 170, & 50 with the first 2 being good enough for a bronze day win!

He does have 2 assists & a goal since the restart, and will no doubt be looking to continue that form

Pre March Price – £1.74p (Thurs 9am)

Post Match Price – £1.73p (-1p)

Alexander Schwolow

This is an interesting one, Freiburg current shot stopper, aged 27, the German international has played the previous 3 games posting scores of 141, 67, 171

I imagine against Leverkusen he could have a bit of work to do, with that in mind at 25p a share, if he picks up top Def for the day that’s 2p back per share!

I wouldn’t advise going mad, but at that price he could be worth a shot, including IPD which would last until roughly the 2nd to last game of the season!

Pre March Price – £0.25p (Thurs 9am)

Post Match Price – £0.25p (No Movement)

Vincenzo Grifo

The 27 Italian has posted a 110, 99, & his latest score of 155 since the restart, while getting himself 2 assists and 1 goal 3 games

Another player who given it being a bronze match day could take top spot in Midfield

Pre March Price – £0.75p (Thurs 9am)

Post Match Price – £0.74p (-1p)

Of course with both teams there will be plenty of players to watch out for over the season, for me personally I hold

• Havertz – 15 Shares

Weiser – 84 Shares

• Schwolow – 25 Shares

Let’s get into the game and the key talking points:

Where do we start with the 1st half, it end 0-0

The biggest chance coming from Freiburg with Höler put through on goal after a lovely through balls, he bends it past the post,

For Beyer Leverkusen Leon Bailey has been on the ball a few time taking a man on, however thats come to nothing with his end product being very hit and miss

Amiri has looked good on the other Flank, and Wirtz looks a good talent at just 17 years old, unfortunately he is yet to be IPO’d

54 mins into the game and it’s that man of course… Kai Havertz, after a 1-2 with Bailey, Havertz pokes the ball past Schwolow from a tight angle

Havertz goes down injured, and is subsequently substituted, doesn’t look as bad as it first seemed, from what I have seen his spread dropped below £5 on the index, crazy to think people decided at that moment to potentially IS for such low amounts, have seen some matches bids well below £6

As expected Leverkusen win a tight a fair 1-0 with the Kai Havertz goal early in the 2nd half,

Players of the game:

Personally for me the real stand out player of the game was Nadiem Amiri, positive on the ball looking to get forward, after Leon Bailey taking the first couple of corners, he stepped up to take the rest,

Hitting a PB score of 170 for the Top Midfielder Spot and only being beaten to star man by Jonathan Tah

Amiri’s top mid performance included 90 mins played, having 93 touches, 57 passes (89.1% acc.), 8 attempted crosses, & 2 key passes

& Speaking of Jonathon Tah, he took home the Top DEF spot with a score of 182, taking a clean sheet and win,

5 clearances, 1 interception, 4/6 Ariel duels won, 111 touches & 92.2% pass accuracy from 94

Of course Havertz got the only goal of the game in the 54th minute and was subbed shortly after this, he finished the game with a PB of 150

Finally Leon Bailey, he scores Top FWD with a PB of 125, personally from watching the game I find him very hit and miss when it comes to end product, but he did provide the only assist of the game for Havertz

& with 85 mins played managed 58 touches, 78.4% passing accuracy, & 2 successful dribble attempts from 3

On the hit and miss point, he also had 11 attempted crosses, 1 of which was successful, and lost possession 23 times in the game

None the less he earns 2p per share for the evening, and no doubt if he could improve his confidence he would be a much better player with his end product

That’s all for today’s blog and I’ll be back reviewing another game tomorrow

In the meantime stay safe, stay home, stay positive, and have a great day

Game of the Day – Borrusia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich

Welcome back everyone, and welcome to a new series on the blog.

This is something I’ve been thinking about doing over the past couple of weeks, & today it starts

Please do bear in mind this is the first one, and I’m sure as time goes by they will get better and better, all feedback, comments etc. At this stage and throughout is appreciated to help improve and create the best content I can

The series is called Game of the Day!

With the return of football & the Bundesliga, I began to do a review of the weekend games, however this is very long and not too in detail, so begins the GOTD series

Each game day I’ll be reviewing 1 game from the previous day with a bit more analysis around the teams in regards to FI

Borrusia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich

Both teams coming into this game were on Win streaks in the league, and in hot form in the league both before and after the restart

Dortmund currently haven’t lost in 6 games, winning their 1st 2 games of the restart scoring 6 & conceding 0

Bayern haven’t lost a league game since back in 2019, also winning the 1st 2 games of the restart scoring 7 & conceding 2

Clearly both teams are functioning well all around going into the game,

Let’s have a look at some of the key players, along with the player ive added in their price Pre Game & Price the following morning to see what increase (if any) they have had…

Jadon Sancho

Sat on 14 goals and 16 assists this season, he had a small run out in the first game, and a few more minutes in the 2nd, grabbing an assist from the bench!

11:30am Tues Price – £13.53p

07:30am Weds Price – £13.54p

Erling Braut Haaland

Another piece of hot property right now, scoring 10 goals and having assisted 2, he’s showing exactly why he is going to be one of the best in the world

11:30am Tues Price – £8.58p

07:30am Weds Price – £8.47p

Raphael Guerreiro

Since the restart Guerreiro has been in fine form with 3 goals in 2 game’s from full back, an attacking full back who has assists & goals in him

11:30am Tues Price – £1.73p

07:30am Weds Price – £1.74p

Joshua Kimmich

Having moved from Defender to Midfielder on the Index he has started the restart coming 2nd & 1st on PB for top Midfielder, showing he has all the quality to win PB in both positions

11:30am Tues Price – £4.35p

07:30am Weds Price – £4.46p

Robert Lewandowski

Having played 25 games this season the striker has 27 goals and 3 assists, and looks to continue this form going into the later stages of the league

11:30am Tues Price – £2.42p

07:30am Weds Price – £2.40p

Alphonso Davies

The LB has 2 goals and 5 assists this season, with 1 of each coming in the previous game in which he won top defender

11:30am Tues Price – £4.46p

07:30am Weds Price – £4.54p

Of course with both teams there will be plenty of players to watch out for over the season, for me personally I hold

• Coutinho – 4 Shares

• Alaba – 18 Shares

• Pavard – 25 Shares

• Sancho – 11 Shares

Let’s get into the game and the key talking points:

1-0 Bayern Munich – Kimmich with a audacious chip from the edge of the penalty box, Burki gets a hand to it, but ultimately can do nothing about it!

A 1st half full of chances for both teams, but it’s Bayern who come out on top 1-0 at half time.

Dortmund looking great with some of their passing, but they just lack a final ball at times, Haaland with a scuffed chance the pick of the bunch

To be perfectly honest in regards to the game itself, it was a good game, the 2nd half was a lot more enjoyable personally.

Let’s take a look at some of the big name players in the game and what they produced…

Jadon Sancho

Purely from an eye test point of view, it’s clear to see Sancho’s got talent, although it took him a bit of time to adjust to the game, as to be expected, he started to find his feet and looked good on the ball

In fact having played 45 minutes, he managed 44 touches, 33 passes giving him 89% pass accuracy including 2 key passes!

When you compare this players similar to Sancho in position, say Kingsley Conan who played 77 mins with 47 touches, 25 passes giving him 83% pass accuracy including 1 key pass! Conan did however create 1 big chance & had 1 shot on target, again something Sancho may have matched or bettered given the same minutes.

Or Serge Gnabry who had 87 mins on the pitch completing 31 passes with an accuracy rate of 91%, 49 touches and 2 key passes! Gnabry also produced 1 shot on target, and missed 1 big chance!

You have to think that given more time on the pitch and he would have created more, or produced something that may have led to a goal.

Joshua Kimmich

Kimmich now playing as a midfielder has shown over previous weeks that he has what it takes to challenge for PB from this position, which was no different during this game

Having a score of 229 once again for this game, he’s now produced 3 similar scores since the restart of the Bundesliga

Scoring the only goal of the game, and incredible lob from outside the area to the far stick, if he could of course add more goals or assists he could really hit some huge scores

In a 90 minute performance Kimmich had 104 touches, 72 passes resulting in 88% accuracy, & 1 shot on target resulting in a goal.

Personally I don’t think either of the midfielders for Dortmund came close to his performance

Currently at a Price of around £4.50 on the index, you have to think this is undervalued with the high level of scores Kimmich is putting in, aswell as having a Euros, World Cup, & Bayern in the latter stages of the Champions League he has plenty of chance for PB wins going forward

Kimmich coming in 2nd place overall for PB midfielders for the evening!

In defence for Bayern a few players to look out for were all up there for PB, however they were all beaten by Neaur in goal with a score of 170

David Alaba – 158

Alaba up there with 75 touches, 5 clearances, 62 passes (95% acc.), 4 long balls including 3 successful ones and 90 minutes completed

Since the arrival of Alphonso Davies at LB after Hernandez was injured, Alaba has slotted into the centre back role, & although I believed this would give him less chance at PB the past 2 games he has been up there with the top defenders in the league for sure.

Alphonso Davies – 124

Speaking of Alphonso Davies, next behind Alaba for PB, he too completed 90 minutes, 95 touches, 43 passes (82% acc.), 2 clearances & 2 tackles. Though he did also pick up a Yellow card which would have gone against him

This guy looks like a real top quality player, it’s a shame he isn’t European for the chance of the Euros etc, but he’s a great player to watch, always looking to beat a man before playing some quality balls & always looking to create an opportunity from full back

And further to those two the 2 players left who made up the back 4 scored just below Davies

Jerome Boateng – 120

Benjamin Pavard – 117

Of course all 4 of the above included a clean sheet with Bayern winning to 0

From Dortmund, although they lost 2 players I thought stood out and really did fight for the cause were the 2 of the back 3, Hummels & Piszczek, of course taking nothing away from Akanji

Mats Hummels

Played 90 minutes with a solid score performance including 6 clearances, 3 blocked shots, 5 interceptions, 72 touches, & 42 passes (78% acc.)

Lucas Piszczek

Played 80 minutes and produced 2 clearances, 1 blocked shot, 1 interception, 2 tackles, 58 touches & 36 passes (81% acc.)

Personally I don’t believe Dortmund deserved to lose the game and a draw could of been a fair result,

There was of course the moment where Haaland shot was blocked by Boateng with which looked like his elbow, this incident didn’t get challenged, nor did it go to VAR surprisingly though.

The final talking point is Haaland, sat at £8.58 pre game on the index, is he worth the money and putting money into him at that price?

During the game Haaland produced a couple of moments that could have been different, within the first minute he picked up the ball from a blocked shot, and took a shot through the keepers leg only to be cleared on the line by Boateng,

He had the shot that was blocked by Boateng elbow, and he had a scuffed shot,

Playing 72 minutes before going off with what looked like a slight injury, Haaland produced just 26 touches, 1 shot on target which would be in minute 1 of the game, & 11 passes (78% acc.)

To me those stats do not scream PB monster, and I think that will be the case with Haaland, unless he is playing 80-90 mins against weaker opposition and bagging a couple goals or assists he scores for PB are relatively low,

This, along with the potential injury is apparent this morning having seen his price drop 11p over night

Of course he’s only 19, and has plenty of years ahead, he could have Euros & World Cups in that period, plus he has the potential of moving to another club, maybe following the Sancho route to United where he would be certain to gain media,

So over the span of his career maybe he wins enough divs to make it worth while, for me currently he isn’t someone I look to hold, but can understand both sides of the argument

I hope if you’ve made it this far you have enjoyed todays blog, there will be another tomorrow reviewing one of tonight’s games

In the meantime stay safe, stay home, stay positive, and have a great day

Week 9 Lockdown Lifestyle: Getting Complacent…Is this a good thing?

It’s Monday, there was not blog post yesterday, in fact there was no post for the last couple of days.

I don’t want to make excuses, but occasionally I lack the motivation to do a blog post, for the simple fact all my posts are made on my phone, researched (if any), typed, edited, everything on my phone and I just find it can make an easy process longer.

It’s something I’ll be looking to adapt to, but also looking to invest in a laptop, to crate even better content over time.

For now though let’s talk about last week, the weight loss, the numbers and everything in between

I spent last week telling myself I would go for a run everyday, that didn’t come to fruition until Friday, and by then it was the only run of the week due to going for an early walk on both Saturday & Sunday in order to watch the football.

I have tasked myself with going for a minimum of 3 runs this week, I’m looking to do 30 minutes a time and they will be a mix of 1 minute 15 seconds jogging, followed by 1 minute 45 seconds of waking, repeating for 10 cycles

I haven’t run in a long time and after having a look online and a few different places, I believe this is the best way to go for the first week or two at least.

How did the previous week go?

As usual the weigh in were done everyday, around the same time, and same conditions.

I found my weight was a bit up and down this week, which is fine, it’s a reason why I work with average weights and not just a daily weigh in

Having lost about 17lb to this point, I went into the week feeling like I would easily hit 2/3 lb and be closer to 20!

Although I did lose weight this week, it was not the numbers I was thinking, it was an overall loss of 1.2lb, which, don’t get me wrong I’m more than happy with

However, I think this was because I had become complacent, I thought I was just going to lose weight all the time without fail, and more than I did

I had a couple days where I went slightly over calories, and for no teal reason, other than why not,

But, I’ve worked my ass to get to this point and I should be more strict and more motivated to continue!

Which is all good, after seeing the number on the scale and the average weight and the loss, it’s given me a new motivation!!

I want to beat the number this week, and continue to do that, I want to hit 2 stone before I go back to work, which is 5 – 7 weeks away, given that information and being at 18lb loss right now, I’ll be needing to lose around 2-3lb per week moving forward

I now have a goal in mind for the next period in this weight loss journey, and I’ll be looking to work hard in order to get to the weight I want to get to,

The overall long term goal right now, is to get into some relative shape before Gyms reopen in order to get back to training, where I will then take on a 12-16 week cut, that will focus on getting in the best shape of my life and will of course be documented from start to finish.

Hopefully anyone reading this can take something away from today’s blog, even if you do sometimes get complacent, don’t dwell on it, get your head back in the game, get a plan set out and get back to doing what you do

Use the period of complacency as motivation to continue to push your boundaries and keep striving to achieve your goals

We all get complacent at times, but we can always overcome it, and continue to achieve what we set out too!

I won’t be adding in a plan for the next 7 days other than hitting 3 30minute runs, eating around 1800 kcal per day,

But Sunday will be another update and let’s see if I have managed to overcome this and smash a new week

I hope your all having a great day, stay safe, stay home, stay positive

Footnote: This blog was going to be posted Monday but I didn’t have time, so it’s Tuesday, but, I can confirm I jumped on the treadmill yesterday and completed 30 minutes, as well as this morning, so that’s a good start

Football Index: IPO Wish List

Welcome back everyone, with an IPO being released earlier this week, it got me thinking as to who I would want to see IPO’d and who I most waiting for!!

We all love an IPO! It’s an exciting time on the platform, when we know new players are being added!

Sure! It can be ruthless, and most of the time comes down to fastest finger first! But none the less, the majority of users want to be involved, and no doubt the majority of users have a list of players they want on the platform!

I thought I’d come up with a list of 5 players I want to see IPO’d next!!

1. Matheus Pereira – West Bromwich Albion

Currently playing at WBA in the championship on loan from Sporting in the Liga NOS! This guy is someone that every time I have watched this season I have been impressed with!

Playing for 2nd in the table WBA, who are sat 6 points clear of the playoffs with 9 games to play, at this stage I would believe they look like they will be one of the 3 teams to go up!

At this point I would imagine WBA would be looking to splash out and take Pereira on a permanent deal, though with his quality they could have competition from others!

Having played 33 games this season with 29 of those being starts, and playing across a number of attacking roles, Pereira has assisted 12, and scored 6 himself!

His goals have also shown his quality, having scored with both his right foot, & left foot, along with the occasional header!

The brazilian has a bit of flair about him, with the passing range and vision of a Mesut Ozil type player!

He’s currently averaged a 7.35 sofa score, with some great passing stats & chances created per game!

2. Giovanni Reyna – Borussia Dortmund

The 17 year old, American wonder kid! There’s not much thats needed to be said about Reyna, myself along with half of the FI community want this kid to be IPO’d!

Having featured 8 times for Dortmund this season, all off the bench, We thought we were gonna get a glimpse of him vs Schalke but for a slight knock in the warm up!

The fact he was starting before this, shows the coach has faith in him and believes he could be a huge talent!

With 1 assist in 2 sub appearances in the champions league! & a stunning goal in his only Polka appearance of the season!

From his sub appearances in the league so far he has a SofaScore rating of 6.70, with an 82% pass accuracy, & averaging 15 touches per game!

An exciting young American prospect who looks as though he will have a bright future! With the USA having a handful of young talent emerging it could also be good on the world stage too!

3. Tino Kadewere – Le Havre

A 24 year old forward playing in the French Ligue 2, for Le Havre! But currently on loan from Lyon who spent £10.8 a year ago from Le Havre before loaning him back for the season!

Having played 24 games this season in the Ligue 2, he has 20 goals & 4 assists, averaging a goal every 103 minutes!

With 0.8 goals per game, and 2.4 shots as well as being able to create chances he seems a quality Attacking option!

With Moussa Dembele potentially moving away from Lyon this summer, and with Kadewere going back to Lyon, could he possibly fill the void that losing Dembele will leave!!

Averaging 7.19 SofaScore, he has converted 6 out of 8 penalties, scoring 16 of his goals with his right, and 4 with his left foot!

The only thing he looks to currently lack is adding header goals to his arsenal!

Get Signed up to the FI today with the referral code!

It’s great knowing about all these players that could be IPO’d in the near future! But if you haven’t signed up for Football Index yet, then you won’t be involved!!

Get signed up today at http://www.footballindex.co.uk and use Referral code 452568 & in return you’ll receive £10 free when you deposit and spend £10 on shares! The perfect way to start your journey!

4. Miguel Azeez – Arsenal

At only 17 years old, Azeez currently plays in the under 18 side for Arsenal FC having played 12 games this season, grabbing 1 goal & 2 assists!

Azeez, made his debut for the premier league 2 side for Arsenal this season too, after signing his first professional contract back in September 2019!

A midfielder who can sit and breaks up play, and then starts the turnover in quick style! With a great range of passing he could have a Huge future ahead of him,

With Arteta now at the helm of Arsenal, looking to rekindle the clubs values and traditions, I believe Azeez could become a player who gets a chance during pre season and potentially gets his break through during the coming season or two!

Young, English, and with a chance of playing in a PB league! He’s got it all going for him!

5. Giacomo Calò – Juve Stabia

The 23 year old, from Italy plays in the second league of Italy for Juve Stabia, currently on loan from Genoa,

The midfielder, has been one of the shining stars in a Stabia team that sit 13th in the league table!

He sits as the top assist maker in the league with 11, 3 in front of the next player! Averaging 2.5 key passes per game! With a SofaScore of 7.39 having played and started 24 games this season!

Genoa with a handful of ageing midfielders Calò could be part of a new age in the midfield!

A prospect that has stood out in the 2nd division for a club not doing so well! It will be interesting to see if he can make the step up, and secure a place on his return to Genoa!

That’s my 5 IPO players I’m currently looking forward to! With Matheus Pereira at the top of my list!

I asked twitter to see what players others were excited about and would want IPO’d next here’s a few answers…

A few suggestions from twitter & Facebook

Of course we don’t currently know what the situation is with IPO’s on the platform, but with FI having released one this week, you would like to think it’s only a matter of time before the next releases!

Let’s hope we see some of the mentioned players and any others we may have hidden away we want to get involved in!

If your new to FI, try not to get caught up in the hype & excitement of IPO’s, it’s easy to get burnt, and that’s not what we want to see!

As always I hope you have enjoyed today’s blog! If you have any feedback I’d love if you left a comment or got in touch via the social buttons at the bottom of the page!

Bundesliga Round Up!! The Highs & Low on FI

Welcome back to the blog everyone! I hope you have had a fantastic weekend! The sun was shining, you got your exercise in, & you got chance to watch some Bundesliga action!!! 🇩🇪

It’s been a long time it seems since we had any real football, but that void was filled at 14:30 Saturday afternoon when a handful of team welcomed the Bundesliga back!

With all eyes seemingly on the big game of the day, the Revier Derby!! Borrusia Dortmund vs Schalke 04!! Cmon the blues!! (Note: bad choice of team 🤦🏻‍♂️)

That wasn’t the only action we had though at the same time we saw 4 other games including

Augsburg vs Wolfsburg

Düsseldorf vs Paderborn

Hoffenheim vs Hertha

RB Leipzip vs Freiburg

With Frankfurt vs Monchengladbach followed on later on in the evening!

Of course in terms of FI for the weekend there was plenty to be won in dividends! From the 5 place MB payouts, to the Top Performers on the day winning Silver PB! And not forgetting the return of In Play Dividends!!!

What a day! So let’s recap on some of the games, goals and everything FI related, starting with the feature game!

Dortmund vs Schalke – BVB 4 – 0 S04

First off! What a performance from Dortmund! And how underwhelming were Schalke!

Schalke are a team who have scored only 8 goals on 2020, they look in desperate need of a striker! And at the other end of the pitch it looks worse with there keeper situation looking woeful!

Dortmund, without several key players in Emee Can, Axel Witsel, and with Jadon Sancho sat on the bench with a slight knock!

The game however went very much as would be expected knowing this, Dortmund played Schalke off the park and ran out 4-0 winners! Haaland looking as good as when the football ended, with the first goal of the game after a great ball from Thorgan Hazard!

Hazard later would take his chance when making the game 3-0 after a Guerreiro goal in between!

The game was finished off with Guerreiro getting his 2nd of the day!

One thing that was apparent was the way Guerreiro (8.6) & Hakimi (7.2) Play on the wings, up and down, creating chances constantly!

The standout here were Haaland who shot up the media rankings to top spot at 5pm! And Guerreiro who was Top defender after the game with 245 points!!

A couple of players to watch, in the PB charts

Haaland – 150 Including 1 ⚽️ + 1 🅰️
Julian Brandt – 173 Including 2 🅰️
Gurreiro – 245 Including 2 ⚽️

Augsburg vs Wolfsburg – AUG 1 – 2 WLF

Pick of the Bunch

Mbabu – 160 Including 1 🅰️

Düsseldorf vs Paderborn – DUS 0 – 0 PAD

Hunemeier (128), Ayhan (129), Giesselmann (130) – 129 Including 🚫 each

Hoffenheim vs Hertha – HOF 0 – 3 HER

Torunaringha – 192 Including 1 🅰️ + 🚫
Ibisevic – 170 Including 1 ⚽️

RB Leipzip vs Freiburg – RBL 1 – 1 FRE

Halstenberg – 185 with No ⚽️ or 🅰️
Kampl – 143 Including 1 🅰️

A couple of mentions here to both goalkeeper Burki with a 137 with a clean sheet! And more impressive Schwolow of Freiburg with a 141 without a clean sheet!

If something does come of FI giving goal keepers their own catergory this is always something I like to look out for especially with the latter at 24p!

But of course this may never happen, and at present I don’t invest / bet on goalkeepers personally!

Frankfurt vs M’gladbach – FRA 1 – 3 MON

The second game of the day on BT Sport I was able to watch! And 38 seconds in it was 1-0 via a Plea goal! 6 minutes later and a Bensebaini low driven cross found Thuram to make it 2-0!

At the break it’s 2-0 the Mgladbach, Plea looking good along with Thuram, Sommer with a good save from a Kostic free kick, Bensebaini doing well!

Frankfurt looking a little defeated already it seems, though a couple of pleasers to watch out for namely Kostic who seems to be involved in everything good for Frankfurt!

70th min, and a pen is awarded! And it’s that man Bensebaini to take it…And Score!! This guy is a quality act!!

Finally Andre Silva gets a consolation for Frankfurt!

Stand Out Players:

Bensebaini – 149 Including 1 ⚽️ + 1 🅰️

Now back to the Bundesliga 🇩🇪

This blog is of course wrote over the whole weekend with it being Sunday and 2 games today making it a Bronze PB day!

First up we have

FC Koln vs Mainz – KOL 2 – 2 MNZ

1-0 to Koln after just 6 minutes, when Uth concerted from the penalty spot! A player who has been spoken a lot about of late with the league returning!

8 minutes into the 2nd half and we saw the 2nd goal of the game, once again for Koln, this time coming from Kainz assisted by substitute Drexler!

A decent finish, and the game was 2-1! Better than that though, the ball by Quaison was fantastic!!!

AND THIS IS WHAT WE WAITED FOR!!!! 2-2 a nice solo goal from Kunde!! It’s great to have football back and the excitement of it! It’s been strange with no crowds and the atmosphere being different! But my god did we need to see some football!!

A couple of standouts for me would be the boys from Midflied

Uth – 180 including 1 ⚽️
Kunde – 141 Including 1 ⚽️
Baku – 139 Including 1 🅰️

Next Up in the final game of Sunday is Union Berlin vs Bayern

Before this one starts I’m expecting a very dominant display from Bayern, and at this point looking at the PB charts the Bayern players to out score many from game 1 of the day!

Union Berlin vs Bayern – UNB 0 – 2 BAY

As imagined, half time approaches and Bayern are in the lead, all be it 1-0 via a Lewandoski penalty which was Cooley finished!

Bayern have dominated the first half, and you’d imagine watching that they will look to up it a gear 2nd half and really start looking to kill off the game!!

Couple of personal first half thoughts Thomas Muller though 30 years old is looking quality! Thiago is playing great in the middle of the park! Alphonso Davies and Alaba both look sharp! Some to watch out for, for sure!

Second half the game is wrapped up by a Pavard goal from a Kimmich corner!!

Stand Out Players

Lewandowski – 130 Including 1 ⚽️
Top Forward = 2p
Kimmich – 229 Including 1 🅰️
Top Midfielder = 2p
Pavard – 231 Including 1 ⚽️ + 🚫
Top Defender (2p) + Star Man (2p) = 4p

As expecting Bayern dominated the game, and these 3 lads all hit top score in there positions meaning they all got a PB payout for dividends!!

I put out a poll on Twitter too and would love to know your thoughts on Kimmich! At £4.20 & rising is he overpriced or underpriced & same with Pavard??

That’s all for the weekend action baring the Monday night game which is Bremen vs Leverkusen!

Werder Bremen vs Bayer Leverkusen

WER 1 – 4 BYL

What a game I thought this one was! Leverkusen putting on a great performance and coming out on largely on top!

The boy wonder Havertz, as you imagine collecting 2 goals & Diaby with 2 assists! A couple of players who are worth watching and seeing what happens with them!

Demirbay picking up a goal and assist too, and weiser with the other goal!

Some great stand out players in the game especially in the Leverkusen team!

Dividend Winners for Monday

Bailey – 64
Top Forward = 2p
Demirbay – 240 Including 1 ⚽️
Top Midfielder (2p) + Star Man (2p) = 4p
Weiser – 166 Including 1 ⚽️
Top Defender = 2p

My Personal Standout Players & Ones to Watch

Joshua Kimmich – The obvious of course, the worry for kimmich was would he hit big scores from midfield as he has from defence, & although this was just 1 game, it looks as though he can still do it from midfield! With a Euros & World Cup on the horizon and as a proven PB player he looks a real good hold!!

Ramy Bensebaini – 24 year old Algerian defender showed his quality in the game for M’gladbach at the weekend, providing an assist & scoring from the spot! If he is to be the set penalty taker, and continues to get up and down the left he seems a good prospect to have in the port

Jordan Torunarigha – Stood out in a 3-0 hertha win, with an Assist & Clean sheet, whilst making 2 key passes, & 94% accuracy across 68 passes, all from what looked like Centre Back!!

Julian Brandt – In a team where Guerreiro & Haaland stood out, Brandt put in a solid performance with 2 assists, 82 touches & 3 key passes, showing his quality! As a 24 year old German international with the euro & World Cup ahead he looks another solid hold

Kerem Demirbay – An excellent display in the Leverkusen game, getting a goal and assist, and hitting 240 PB score! At sub £1 if he can continue and play like this he could be a steal

Of course these are just my personal stand out players, there were a handful others I believe looked good this weekend! Kai Havertz of course, Joshua Kimmich to name another!

Always do your own research on players and don’t take one games impressions as what they do every game!

This is of course a bit of a different blog to normal and something I’ll be looking to do in the future, potentially picking 3 to 5 games of the weekend / that I have watched and give some analysis, stand out players and my thoughts!

I hope you enjoyed today’s blog!

Week 8: The Lockdown Lifestyle Changes Continue 🔒

Welcome back everyone! It’s Sunday! It’s been a sunny weekend! Football returned! & were back for another weigh in!

So, let’s start with the all important numbers from the previous week & see where we were at come last Sunday!!

Average Weight: 231.0lb

Total Gain / Loss for Week: – 2.7lb

Over Gain / Loss: – 14.7lb

That’s right last weekend we finally hit the 1 stone mark on this weight loss, and healthier lifestyle journey!

Now, let’s see what happened this week! Here’s my weigh ins from the past 7 days

This morning I weighed in at 228.0lb giving me the average weight over the past 7 days of 228.5lb and a loss of 2.5lb!!!

We now sit at 17.2lb lighter than when we started, and I couldn’t be happier!

What’s more, with the hospitality sector looking unlikely to reopen until July I imagine I have another 3 weeks minimum off work! Which means it’s time to really knuckle down and work toward hitting the 2 stone mark!

One thing I’m also extremely excited about is that from the start I have told myself if I could get to below 228.0lb on the nose average weight, I would allow myself 1 cheat meal! Which is now looking closer than ever!!!

Of course the drop in weigh is showing everything is working! And in the end I kept it simple this week!

Daily walks of around 5.5 – 6 miles, eating well, and continue to fast on a 16/8 hr scale!

What’s changing going forward:

Like I said, it’s looking like I’ll have 3 more weeks at least of being at home during lockdown! I’ve been online, I’ve purchased some running gear, and this week I’ll be looking to get out on the roads and get some extra miles in a couple of times!

This won’t affect my daily walk, and I’ll be continuing to do this, the running will be in addition to this in order to burn some extra calories!

I’ll be keeping my calories the same at 1900kcal, and will keep them at this level until i see a real halt in progress or plateau!

The resistance bands have also now arrived, and I’ll be looking into some full body workouts using these and a couple of kettlebells I have in order to get some resistance training in!

Everything will be stepped up a bit this week! The progress to this date has been great and I’ve been working hard for it to be a success!

But there is room to tweak a few things and hopefully shed a little bit extra each week moving forward!

Overall it’s been a great week! And long may it continue!!

That’s all for today, I hope your all well! Stay safe, stay home where possible, stay positive ♥️
